Kedarnath Trip by Helicopter

The temple of Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and due to extreme weather conditions is only open for few months in a year therefore if you are planning to pay your tributes to lord Shiva at Kedarnath then plan your trip now or wait for the next summers to make your dream possible. Kedarnath is counted among the twelve holy Jyotirling temples in the country.

If you are looking forward to visit Kedarnath and cannot travel on foot or pony. then you can opt for helicopter services to Kedarnath which has been made available for the convenience of hundreds and thousands of pilgrims by the Government of India. Though it’s great to travel on foot and experience the scenic beauty on the way to Kedarnath but helicopter services come as a blessing in disguise for people who can neither travel on foot nor on pony.

Helicopter services to Kedarnath are regularly available during the season but it may get suspended due to bad weather at times. You can avail the helicopter services from Agastyamuni and it takes approximately 45 minutes to reach Kedarnath and in total the trip is for two hours which also includes priority darshan of Lord Shiva but keep in mind that you will have to pay extra for this priority service. Helicopter services for Kedarnath have also been started from Gauchar.

Kedarnath helicopter service is a blessing in disguise for senior citizens who cannot travel on foot or pony due to age factor. Efforts are also underway to offer direct helicopter services from Jolly Grant in Dehradun to Badrinath.

Since the number of pilgrims visiting Kedarnath has been increasing with each passing year efforts are on to offer better and efficient helicopter services to pilgrims who would like their journey to be completed as quickly as possible.
